All To Jesus Christ ... (Part 2)

...  Through His Mother's Heart  💙 Hello! As I said in my last post, here I am, to continue the gist of my relationship with Mother Mary. I honestly feel blank at the moment. How do I start this narrative? How do I explain how I began to see Mary not just as the Mother of Jesus Christ but also as my Mother? How do I explain why I honour Her and Pray to Her? Well, it all started with a Search . In my search, I decided to open up my heart to God Almighty. I wanted to understand the Word - Jesus. I honestly sought Wisdom and Wisdom led me to the  seat of Wisdom  - The one who carried Him for 9 months, the one whom He took flesh and blood from, the one who He created and was perfectly Human. In addition to the Holy Scriptures, God led me to His Mother - Mary, to get me to see Him through Her eyes . Note: Mary is the mother of Jesus - God, the Son . The God We Do not Deserve

Image
Hello! Last Sunday was celebrated as The Divine Mercy Sunday and so, I see this week as the week of Mercy 😊 . Mercy ... Mercy ... Mercy ... as I ponder about the Mercy of God (my mind delights in taking mental trips that lead towards discovering more about Him), I can't help but stop my train of thoughts as I arrive at the same question that I keep asking; "what is man that You are so mindful of him?" ( Psalm 8:4-5 ) Mercy that Won't Let Go Diary of St. Faustina (sourced from Pinterest ) God's mercy cannot be exhausted in one's lifetime. His Mercy is endless. We catch a glimpse of the depth of His Mercy and the extent to which it would go, in His Passion. He could have given up on the way to Calvary,  yet He bore the weight of the heavy cross on His wounded back, for our sake.  He could have destroyed us in an instant and recreated another world, yet He chose to pay the FULL price for our redemption from bondage - which we got ourselves in...

Reflections on the Readings of the Day - 7th April 2020

Image
(Holy Week/Last Week of Lent) ----------------------------------------------- First Reading:  Isaiah 49: 1-6 Res. Psalm:  Psalm 71: 1-2. 3-4a. 5-6ab & 17 (R.15ab) The verse before the Gospel:  Hail our King! Obedient to the Father; You were led to Crucifixion like a meek lamb to the slaughter . Gospel:  John 13: 21-33. 36-38 ---------------------------------------------- Hello Readers! The first reading speaks of Jesus through the mouth of the Prophet Isaiah. Jesus was brought into this world for a purpose - to bring God's people back to Him by restoring the once perfect relationship that was torn by Sin.  Sin can simply be defined as Man's free will (choice) to not trust God. Every act of Sin stems from disobedience to God's word, and this is usually as a result of a lack of trust in God.  The root cause of theft is the lack of trust in God to meet our needs . The root cause of g reed is the lack of trust in God to su...

An Escape from the Overwhelming Burdens of Life

Image
28 “Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke and put it on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest. 30 For the yoke I will give you is easy, and the load I will put on you is light.”   Matthew 11: 28-30 Are you too tired sometimes? Have you ever felt so tired that you feel you’re at your end, with just a slight provocation? Do you sometimes feel as if everything around you is trying to bring you down? I have felt this way a couple of times. One would think that I would be more mature when handling such a feeling due to familiarity. It is only logical to be able to dust off such a feeling because I didn't die the other time. So, yeah, I would survive this right?  If it is meant to be so, why do I find myself always breaking down from the familiar overwhelming feeling? My most recent moment of feeling such an overwhelming burden literally brok...

The Flawed Sense of Justice.

Utilizing the daily readings for 11th September 2018 from the Catholic Missal, the lessons learnt has left a mark within me..which I'd like to share. First Reading: 1 Corinthians 6:1-11  Res.Psalm: Psalms 149:1-6, 9 Gospel: Luke 6:12-19 The Lessons: Leave Judgment to God and endure until HE wills it time to show up. Die to self - Loose it all for the Sake of God Almighty in Christ Jesus, is in itself Great Gain. To Willingly Accept Injustice?? In the first reading, St. Paul says "Why not rather suffer wrong? Why not rather be defrauded? " - this reminds me of Jesus' words in Matthew 5:39 - " Turn the other cheek. .". As Christians, we are called to love..and to love even those who hurt us (this distinguishes us from the non-believers). This doesn't make logical sense at all, Nope, Not at all! Which is why the people preferred the law of Moses stating an eye for an eye (as in Exodus 21:24 ) - YASS!! This is more like it! Yh? Thing is thi...

...And Lead Us Not Into Temptation.

Dearly Beloved in Christ, I know I have written before that the best way to live a life free from the hurdles of temptations is to flee from it . I have come to the realization that there is no such thing as a "temptation free life". What is even more shocking is that "Temptation is actually a good thing"😱. Temptation - Is a good thing? Yes, It is.. As one walks and discover more about God through Christ Jesus by the help of the Holy Spirit, certain truths begin to become clearer and this comes as a result of maturity in the Spirit.  Truths that would have destabilized your walk with Christ at an early stage will be easier to absorb as you mature..Just as an infant needs milk at its stage and over time, grows to accept semi-solids and then graduates to chewing meat/cracking bones, so it is with the things of the Spirit. To accept this truth - temptation is a good thing, I had to ask the Holy Spirit what this meant and by His help (through a min...

Do Not Forget Me - PAPA

How do I learn to love God? How do I not forget Him? I have a terrible habit of running to Him when I am in trouble or in need but when I am satisfied, I forget Him. Easily. In this post, I will try by the grace received to share that which I was inspired with while I pondered on parts of scriptures and asked questions. (I like asking questions and He actually answers! You should try it. J ) The Holy Scriptures makes mention of a “Canaan”- a place of good prosperity which as the destination of the Israelites while I journeyed through the wilderness after their miraculous deliverance from Egypt (Tribulations and Slavery).  The Lord gave them an instruction; (Exodus 6) ” 4 . Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[a] 5. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength … 10 When the Lord your God brings you into the land he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you—a land with large, flourish...
